The Tama HC63BW boom cymbal stand is a sturdy stand with plenty of flexibility. The cymbal can be set at virtually any angle and the stand can even be converted to a straight stand if there isnt enough room on stage for a boom.
The HC63BW uses Tamas toothless Quick-Set Tilter which uses six metal disc plates to hold its position using friction instead of traditional gears. As well as being a more durable structure it lets you adjust it to any angle you want. The convertible tilter lets you switch from a boom stand to a straight stand when space demands it with the boom arm stored neatly in the upper tube. The cymbal bottom is designed to protect the cymbals centre hole from the tilters shaft and threads and it is reversible so that if part of the sleeve wears out you can simply turn it upside-down and keep using it. The stand has been carefully designed to reduce unwanted noise ensuring that youll only hear the cymbal and not the stand rattling. There is a special rubber cap at the end of the upper tube and a nylon sleeve underneath the die-cast joint of the base section. The sturdy double-braced legs have nylon washers in the leg stand joints to improve durability and make the leg action smoother.
